Recycle your dead hard drives with DriveGen and help save the environment
Many of our clients have made written commitments to their customers that they will strive to have a neutral impact on our environment. Because DriveGen recycles every part of every hard drive we dismantle, they have turned to us as a source to dispose of their dead, non-repairable hard drives. If you have drives or other components that are headed for the trash bin, please don't add to our already overloaded landfills. Send them to us and we'll see that they are disassembled and all components recycled properly. Call or email for shipping instructions.
Turn your dead hard drives into CAsh!
If you have drives that are potential candidates for repair, don't throw them away - sell them to DriveGen. We can test and repair many types of IDE desktop and notebook hard drives, SATA drives and 1.8" MP3 player drives in any quantity, small or large. If you are looking to sell us your drives outright, please check out our Sell Us Your Drives Page!
Want to share in the profits? Try our 50/50 Program!
Some of our larger customers asked for a solution to lower their costs associated with testing and repairing their hard drives. They didn't want to have to pay the testing fee for drives that failed or were not repairable.
We listened to their suggestions and the 50/50 Program was born. Customers love it so much the 50/50 Program now accounts for 90% of our overall business. It works for them and it can work for you too!
Whether you only have a handfull of bad drives or thousands, here is how it works:
- * Send us your hard drives. Each drive should be packed in separator type foam bulk boxes or wrapped in bubble pack. If you send them loose packed or in Gaylord boxes, you will have a very high failure rate due to physical damage during shipment. All factory seals and boards must be intact.
- * DriveGen will clean, test and repair your drives at our expense. Success rates can range from 0-100% depending on the type of drives you send to how they have been handled and packaged. Unrepairable drives are kept by DriveGen and used for spare parts.
- * Upon completion of the repairs, we ship you half the good drives and keep the other half to cover our costs in testing and repairing the drives. In case of an odd number split, you get the extra drive.
- * Congratulations! Instead of throwing away money, you have turned your dead drives into working inventory that you can install in systems, sell for cash, or trade for other products - and it didn't cost you anything other than the initial shipping charges!
